I can still hear you saying,
You would never break the chain...
The only thing London loves more than queues (and the tiny mice on the tube platforms) are chain restaurants. They are everywhere, they vary in quality (!), and they fluctuate in popularity. But, while not Michelin star excitement, they can work well for a decent meal.
Wagamamas
The original pan-Asian restaurant. This place is superbly unrated. The food is always fresh and on game, the menu is howned by sheer experience/volume. Plates come at different (which is always a bit weird) but it’s worth it for the Tori-Kara Age (mini herb chicken bites) alone.
Walk-in's usually. Pre-book only with a big group.

Tortilla
Burritos are just the best invention. Filling, tasty, and good for anytime of the day. These guys do some of the best burritos in London, and the quality is pretty consistent across sites. Great spot for quick bite (especially good for trains/airport trips).

Carluccios
These guys are straight up, decent Italian food. Loads of locations, good quality and value. There are a lot of Italian chains in London, but the quality is questionable - these folk do it right. They also have great wines that change every week/month.
