It's a Pizza heaven...
A wise man once said, 'Pizza should be a food group...'
Bufi
This is our local pizza place (so I'm probably biased), but these guys do some of the best pizza in the city. Sourdough bases, buffalo mozzarella cheese (hence the name), and a sauce you could drink - soul restoring. It's a bit from the city center in a more residential suburb, but if you're heading that way (maybe up to Ally Pally), it's worth the detour.
Walk-in or pre-book.

Rossopomodoro
Neapolitan haven in city center (between Leicester Square and Covent Garden). Cooked in a huge wood oven, dough apparently mixed for 24hours, really fresh proper pizza (that means thin, soft base to me).
Walk-in or pre-book, but gets pretty busy.

Franco Mancas
Sour-dough kings, these folks have locations all over the city. Again, stripped down menu means the food has to be class every time.
Walk-in's only, I think.

Japes
